Most people think of nostalgia as a warm and fuzzy feeling, something that brings comfort in familiarity. But it can also be harmful, when it causes its victim to constantly live in the past, running in circles instead of enjoying the present. The song is a reminder that although preserving memories is important, one should concentrate on today and building the future.
